Psychoanalytic consulting for complex life situations

Depth-oriented work grounded in psychoanalytic and philosophical thought — for people navigating questions of identity, meaning, relationships, and difficult decisions.

Not advice. Not techniques. Something deeper.

Most coaching offers strategies — frameworks to optimise behaviour, manage time, or build habits. This work is different. It begins with the premise that the most important problems in life are not problems of efficiency but problems of meaning.

Drawing on psychoanalytic thought and continental philosophy, sessions create space for a kind of structured thinking that is difficult to do alone — the kind that reaches the patterns, assumptions, and blind spots that shape how you relate to work, to others, and to yourself.

Structural listening

Attention to what is said, what is avoided, and the gap between the two. Most meaningful insight lives in that gap.

Patterns, not symptoms

Recurring difficulties in relationships, work, or decision-making usually reflect deeper structures. We work with those structures directly.

Rigour without rigidity

Intellectually grounded but never dogmatic. The framework serves the thinking, not the other way around.

People in the middle of something difficult

This work tends to resonate with people who are thoughtful, self-aware, and dealing with situations where conventional advice falls short.

This is not psychotherapy and does not involve diagnosis or clinical assessment. If it becomes clear that clinical support would be more appropriate, I will say so directly and help you find the right professional in your area.
